Yamaha A-S501 is made using the proprietary ToP-ART (Totally Pure Reproduction of Sound) technology using a symmetrical circuit topology. The chassis of the device, having an ART design, reliably protects it from mechanical vibrations and resonances. The device is built on discrete elements, and its output stages are installed on large aluminum heat sinks located inside the case. The

Yamaha A-S501 power supply unit has a massive custom-made high-power transformer placed in a screen to reduce interference. The total capacity of the filter capacitors is 12,000 μF, which provides sufficient energy for a wide dynamic range of sound.

The Yamaha A-S501 amplifier circuit is built using selected components that undergo careful pre-selection. The amplifier is equipped with six analog inputs, including one for connecting a vinyl record player, as well as outputs to a recording device and a subwoofer. This model also has optical and coaxial inputs, with the ability to supply a digital signal with parameters up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. The device has tone controls for low and high frequencies and smooth loudness compensation, which allows you to accurately adjust the sound of the amplifier when listening at low volume. If desired, all additional signal processing in the Yamaha A-S501 can be turned off, making the sound of the amplifier as neutral as possible.
