The French company Cabasse has introduced a new model of Rialto shelf active monitors with a three-lane design.
It is based on a proprietary 130 mm BCI coaxial driver, which combines a tweeter and mid-range driver, bass assistance is provided by a 170 mm HELD bass driver located on the rear panel. The total power of the amplifiers built into each monitor is 1050 watts – 300 watts each for the tweeter and midrange driver, plus 450 watts for the bass speaker. At the same time, the dimensions of the monitors are small – only 26 x 20.6 x 23.9 cm , but each of them weighs 19.5 kg .
Wireless connection is possible via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an Ethernet port is provided for wired network integration. Physical terminals include optical input, HDMI eArc port, USB-A, and analog RCA. The monitors can “communicate” with each other both via Wi-Fi and via optics. The system is controlled through the Cabasse StreamCONTROL proprietary application , which contains all the main music services. In addition, the model has its own acoustic calibration system. The claimed frequency range extends from 30 to 27,000 Hz with a maximum sound pressure of 121 dB .
The Cabasse Rialto monitors will go on sale by the end of 2022 at a price of 3,000 euros
