Gold Note is a trademark of the Italian company Bluenote, created in 1992 by mechanical engineer Maurizio Aterini and began with the production of accessories that were used with components from other manufacturers, and then with their own. Bluenote was founded in 1992 by Maurizio Aterini, a certified mechanical engineer, and began with the production of innovative accessories that were intended to be used with equipment components from other manufacturers, and then with their own. The very first series of accessories, which included mechanical dampers for Midas llamas, instantly gained wide popularity throughout the world and remained so for more than 10 years. Some models in this series are available and in demand to this day.
Since 1994, thanks to the experienced engineers involved in the design work and the production and commercial structure that had finally taken shape at that time, the company was able to create a full line of relatively inexpensive audio components with a high price/quality ratio, which were presented on the American and Italian markets. In 1997, the company created the IAV (Industrie Audio Vox) brand, which united under one logo models of CD players, vinyl players, amplifiers and speakers, which were not only distinguished by a high price/quality ratio, but also by the external elegance of “real Italian” design. In 2000, upon completion of three years of research and laboratory tests, models of high price categories, which embodied the most ambitious ideas and projects, also began to appear in the company’s assortment. This allowed it to establish itself in new High End Audio markets, including South America and East Asia. In particular, the prestigious Villa line of equipment, released in 2002, significantly expanded its audience with its popularity.

Currently, Bluenote produces products under two brands: Gold Note and Blacknote, part of the Akamai concern. This is a purely formal division; production facilities and personnel remain the same. The company works closely with local and international manufacturers of electronic components, producing parts to special order, providing fast and high-quality assembly and assisting in accelerated testing of new prototypes. All this helps maintain the mobility necessary to respond in a timely manner to constantly changing market demands.
Among the company’s most successful original developments is the Zero-Clock™ digital filter, which has received high praise all over the world, as well as the innovative Electro-Power™ disk speed control system for digital devices. The latest advancement, namely the Dual-Speed™ automatic speed control system, according to its developers, will soon set new standards for digital audio quality.
