The Accuphase A-48 amplifier model is aimed at audiophiles for whom the power of the A-75 amplifier is excessive, and the A-36 amplifier is slightly insufficient. Like its other models, the Accuphase A-48 embodies the uncompromising commitment to fidelity and outstanding design techniques for which Accuphase is renowned.

This pure Class A power amplifier, distinguished by the size of its external heatsinks, is designed for pure music enjoyment. It uses only carefully selected components of impeccable quality. An extra-large power supply provides the necessary power support. The device is designed like an instrument amplifier; the entire signal path, from input to output, is built according to a symmetrical circuit. The amplification circuit is further enhanced by the MCS+ topology, which significantly improves the signal-to-noise ratio, SOI and other characteristics.

The Accuphase A-48 power amplifier is built using a fully balanced circuit. It has ultra-low noise and an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio. The front panel is made of anodized aluminum 8 mm thick. Massive radiators are installed inside the case to ensure effective heat dissipation from transistors operating in pure class “A”. This allows them to work much more accurately and save their parameters. Inside this amplifier, copper and gold plated circuit boards are used.

The Accuphase A-48 features MCS+ technology and current feedback for superior, clear and transparent sound. A massive toroidal shielded transformer with two independent windings and two massive 56,000 uF capacitors provide clean power to all power amplifier circuits. Each channel contains 6 pairs of field-effect transistors that operate in push-pull mode and pure class “A” provide 45 watts of power at 8 ohms in stereo mode, and 180 watts of power in bridged Accuphase A-48.

The Accuphase A-48 amplifier has a control with which you can reduce the gain (0, -3, -6, -12 dB). Accuphase A-48 is equipped with a “Normal” operating mode switch, that is, Stereo, “Dual Mono” and “Bridged”. You can connect two pairs of speakers to it and switch them from the front panel of the power amplifier. Beautiful analogue dial indicators move mesmerizingly to the beat of the music. The gold-plated, high-quality speaker connectors allow you to connect spade-type cables.
