The Accuphase P-4500 is a high-quality, high-precision Class A stereo power amplifier. The Accuphase P-4500 incorporates the outstanding technology of the A-200 design. Based on the previous Accuphase P-4200, it represents a complete redesign of the model with an even more improved overall design. The power amplifier section has another feature, namely the MCS+ topology combined with current feedback, providing outstanding S/N ratio and excellent electrical performance.
The output stage in the Accuphase P-4500 uses three pairs of high-power transistors rated at 220 Watts for each channel, arranged in a parallel push-pull configuration. This provides low output impedance. As demonstrated by delivering 500 watts per channel into 1 ohm (music signals only), the P-4500 can easily drive very low impedance speakers.
The output relays have been replaced with MOS-FET switches, which combine excellent reliability and high purity. Redesigned output coils and other features result in less energy loss and significantly improve the attenuation coefficient by up to 500.
The Accuphase P-4500 power amplifier features MCS+ technology and current feedback for superior, clean, and transparent sound. A massive toroidal shielded transformer with two independent windings and two massive capacitors with a capacity of 47,000 uF each provide clean power to all circuits of this amplifier.
Accuphase P-4500 is equipped with high-power MOSFET transistors connected in parallel with low impedance. Each channel contains three pairs of transistors connected in parallel. This power amplifier has a completely symmetrical circuit. Current feedback of the cascades gives excellent phase characteristics.
Accuphase P-4500 has a control with which you can reduce the gain (0, -3, -6, -12 dB). This device is equipped with a Normal mode switch, that is, Stereo, Dual Mono and Bridged. You can connect two pairs of speakers to it and switch them from the front panel of the power amplifier. Beautiful analogue dial indicators move mesmerizingly to the beat of the music. The gold-plated, high-quality speaker connectors allow you to connect spade-type cables.
