The Denon Design Series stands out thanks to its combination of matte aluminum, glossy and matte black surfaces. The clear and informative OLED displays will tell you everything you need to know about the music being played. And the combination of the PMA-60 and DCD-50 components can be placed both horizontally and vertically, depending on your interior. The Denon PMA-30 is made in a compact case and has a very attractive appearance due to its laconic design and high-quality exterior finish. The corners of the amplifier case are neatly rounded, and its front and side panels are made as a single piece. The upper part of the device’s case is made of aluminum with a rough finish and the Denon PMA-30 will perfectly fit into the interior of even a small room.
The Denon PMA-30 integrated amplifier is a more affordable amplifier in the Design line, with an output power of 2×40 W, but without a USB DAC. Like the Denon PMA-60, the amplifier can be installed both horizontally and vertically. The orientation of the image on the OLED display will be changed automatically. The Denon PMA-30 is equipped with a subwoofer output and comes with a convenient and ergonomic remote control. On the front panel of the amplifier there is a large volume control knob with a beautiful backlight, thanks to which the amplifier is convenient to use even in a semi-dark room. Behind the matte glass there is a contrast OLED display that shows the set operating modes of the device. In addition, on the front panel of the amplifier there is a headphone jack – for this purpose, the Denon PMA-30 uses a separate circuit with the ability to adjust the parameters depending on the impedance of the connected model.
The Denon PMA-30 is equipped with a wide range of inputs, which makes it a very versatile Hi-Fi device. The device has linear, optical and coaxial inputs, as well as a built-in Bluetooth module on a high-end Qualcomm chip. The wireless connection is characterized by a significant range, low signal delays, and support for the improved aptX audio codec. This model also provides simplified pairing technology with NFC mobile devices. If desired, an active subwoofer can be connected to the Denon PMA-30 via a special output.
The Denon PMA-30 amplifier develops a maximum output power of up to 40 W per channel, but at the same time it practically does not heat up during operation, as it works in the economical class D. Its circuit was modified by the company’s engineers in order to obtain the highest quality sound while maintaining the high efficiency characteristic of pulse technology, and this task was successfully solved. Denon PMA-30 is an excellent basis for a compact high-class stereo system and is perfectly compatible with any bookshelf speakers, for connection of which the amplifier provides reliable screw terminals.
