The Italian company Gold Note presents the final stereo amplifier PA-10. The model, with a power of 75 W per channel at 8 Ohm load, is designed, in particular, to work in tandem with the DS-10 DAC released this year. The PA-10 corresponds to the dimensions of the DS-10: the compact body of the new product has dimensions of 220x80x260 mm. Naturally, these two devices received a design that complements each other.
If we talk about circuit design, the PA-10 is made in a fully balanced structure. The manufacturer specified a frequency range of 10 Hz – 30 kHz with unevenness ±1 dB. It is important that, following the flagship model PA-1175 MKII, the new product has an adjustable damping coefficient. This is said to make it possible to better coordinate its operation with specific acoustics. BTL (Bridge-Tied-Load) technology will also allow the PA-10 to be used as a monoblock in a bridge connection. In this version, and even with a 4 Ohm load, its rated power will reach 600 W.
The Gold Note PA-10 provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA input switching, and proprietary patented GN LINK technology allows the model to operate in Master-Slave mode. In this case, the connected DS-10 DAC and PA-10 end behave as one device when turned on and off.
