Soulution announces new 717 power amplifier

Soulution's new 717 amplifier topology extends the frequency bandwidth to over 2 MHz, while reducing distortion and noise to virtually unmeasurable levels.

Soulution 717
Swiss audio brand Soulution has announced a new power amplifier called the 717. The 717 is a two-channel amplifier that can be used for stereo playback, dual mono playback or bridged mono playback. Delivery will start in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Two-channel power amplifier for flexible use

Soulution’s new and innovative amplifier topology extends the frequency bandwidth to over 2 MHz, while reducing distortion and noise to virtually unmeasurable levels. Four 600 VA switching power supplies, each with a 2,100 VA pulse output, are connected directly to the printed circuit boards of the power amplifier stages to ensure the lowest contact resistance and the shortest signal path from the power supply to the speaker connections.

At the inputs, the 717 power amplifier has the same innovative input stage as the 727 preamplifier. The 717 can be configured as a stereo amplifier or as a dual mono amplifier in a bi-amping configuration. The channels can also be bridged or the two channels of the bridged amplifier can drive one speaker together.
