The Neutron HiFi DAC V1 is a USB hi-res audio DAC with cutting-edge hardware and software and an aesthetically pleasing design for the eyes and ears. It supports up to 32bit/384kHz PCM and up to DSD256.

The hardware and software design is based on our extensive music playback experience gained from developing legendary audiophile software (Neutron Music Player and Neutron Audio Recorder), and meets the most demanding audiophile requirements.

High Resolution Audio
Designed to achieve true, high-fidelity audio derived from digital signals up to 32-bit and 384 kHz PCM and DSD256. The hardware design is supported by a leading ESS Technologies DAC chip, ultra-low noise power supply and dual master clock.

Informative Display
The high-contrast, energy-efficient OLED display provides useful information about the audio output format and device status. The display is made from shock- and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3, and it looks and feels truly luxurious.

The ARM Cortex-M4 controller is controlled in real time by advanced Neutron HiFi™ firmware, which provides reliable, high-power audio output while intelligently consuming your device’s power.

Rugged Exterior
The sophisticated aluminum housing is highly durable and protects sensitive internal components from external influences, including electromagnetic interference, further improving sound quality.

Digital and Analogue
All the complex aspects of the digital and analogue field of high-quality audio processing have been taken into account in the electronic design, including the use of ultra-low noise power supplies for all subsystems.

DAC V1 uses ESS Technologies’ flagship audio DAC chip, which provides the most enjoyable stereo image and sound quality.

This is a hard real-time system that guarantees defect-free, stable and fully deterministic audio output at any supported frequency.
The microcontroller is driven by mature, proprietary Neutron HiFi™ firmware, which enriches the device with many features such as DSP (parametric equalizer, crossfeed), persistent settings and smart power saving.
Our advanced firmware ensures stable and correct operation of all complex subsystems of the device, which contributes to high-quality sound.
