According to experts at JLab, the company has unveiled its primary competitor to Sony’s WF-1000XM5 headphones with the release of the JLab Epic Lab Edition model. This new product is touted as the brand’s most premium wireless headphones to date, boasting a sophisticated design.
Featuring a hybrid dual-driver design, the new Bluetooth 5.3 wireless earbuds come equipped with a rechargeable battery that offers up to 56 hours of playback time (including the charging case) without active noise cancellation technology activated. With ANC activated, battery life is reduced to 36 hours. Users have the option of wireless charging or connecting the headphones to a power source via the USB Type-C connector.
The ANC technology includes a “Be Aware” mode designed to filter out background noise, particularly useful for outdoor environments. Additionally, the mobile application allows users to select from various preset profiles. The Epic Edition supports spatial audio formats like Dolby Atmos, while Bluetooth codec support includes AAC, SBC, LDAC, and LC3.
