The Romanian company has released an update to its 2018 headphones, the Meze Audio Empyrean II . Meze Audio didn’t reinvent the wheel – these new headphones are very similar to the originals – but instead made some nice improvements to the look, wearability and sound.
The exterior of
the Empyrean II is matte black with subtle silver accents. The aluminum grille this time has a slightly different design, made in the Art Deco style. Externally, they are very similar to the original headphones, but with minor changes.
Comfort
Meze Audio has continued to use a deliberately weighted design to better distribute the headphones over the head. The delivery set includes two types of ear pads: a mixture of leather and Alcantara and classic all-Alcantara. You can choose the one that is more suitable for your specific situation.
Driver
Meze Audio has enhanced the Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver from Rinaro Isodynamics to improve overall sound quality. Meze Audio calls this a step forward in performance, but it needs to run a series of tests before confirming this.
Meze Audio Empyrean II is now available for pre-order. The company did not say when deliveries will begin. But she did tell the price, and if you are familiar with the company, you shouldn’t be surprised. The Empyrean II will cost $2999.
