Accuphase DP-560

The Accuphase DP-560 is a next-generation SA-CD/CD player with a sophisticated disc tray and an extra-wide disc loading mechanism. The player uses an innovative MDS+ D/A converter using four parallel DACs to provide high-precision digital-to-analog conversion of DSD and PCM signals. Separate configuration of the transport and processor sections, each equipped with a set of HS-LINK, coaxial, optical and USB (input only) connectors. The Accuphase DP-560 has an on-board USB connector that provides support for up to 384 kHz/32-bit and 11.2896 MHz/1-bit DSD. The Accuphase DP-560 is equipped with a transport mechanism developed in-house, Accuphase engineers created it based on the technologies used in the flagship models.

The Accuphase DP-560 player body is made of aluminum, and the chassis design is made in such a way that it absorbs external and internal vibrations. The high-quality CD/SACD transport mechanism is the main tool for obtaining digital information from discs, the mechanism has a center of gravity shifted to the bottom, the loading mechanism is smooth, which greatly affects the quality of disc playback. The transport mechanism also has a double laser head for obtaining the highest accuracy of reading information from CD or SACD discs. It is completely devoid of internal and is not susceptible to external vibrations, and this guarantees that the digital signal will be clean and accurate. A special chip controls the digital servo and converts a direct digital stream with the highest accuracy.

Digital-to-analog conversion in the Accuphase DP-560 player is performed using the patented MDS+ method, which was developed by Accuphase. The MDS+ system feeds the DSD stream directly to several digital-to-analog converter chips that are connected in parallel to minimize distortion.

The Accuphase DP-560 has four ES 9018 chips from the famous American company ESS Technologies connected in parallel. This configuration provided amazing conversion accuracy with improved characteristics: minimum nonlinear distortion coefficient, the highest signal/noise ratio, and excellent linear frequency response.
