Atoll IN300 Signature: Versatile and powerful integrated amplifier

The Atoll IN300 model belongs to the pre-top line of complete amplifiers from Atoll. The strict aluminum front panel of the 15-kilogram Atoll IN300 case looks impressive thanks to the asymmetrical figured design element. In its center is an oblong window of the OLED display, which is characterized by low noise and low power consumption. To the left and right of the display are rotary controls that allow you to adjust volume, balance, and select the desired input. A 6.3 mm headphone jack is built into the left side of the panel.

Atoll IN300 has a symmetrical circuit topology (“dual mono”). Each channel has a separate volume attenuator and a separate 440 VA toroidal power transformer, and there is another small power unit (5 VA) to power the display and control circuit. The power supply uses 12 low-loss capacitors with a capacity of 6800 µF each and high-quality wiring cable. There is a “soft start” function that eliminates the influence of high starting currents. The preamplifier section uses symmetrical stages with bipolar transistors, and high-quality Silver Mica capacitors are installed. In the final stage there are 6 MOS transistors per channel. This uses shallow feedback, which, according to the company, results in a natural and dynamic sound. The device provides high power of 150 W per channel at 8 ohms and 260 W per channel at 4 ohms.

The amplifier uses high quality components, including Mundorf shielded polypropylene MKP capacitors in the analog circuits and Vishay MKP capacitors in the digital circuits. There is a modern AK4490 DAC on board, which allows you to convert PCM (up to 32 bit/384 kHz) and DSD (2.8/5.6 MHz) formats received via the USB input using a specially developed for Atoll and optimized for working with PCM and a DSD XMOS chip (XHRA-2HPA).

On the rear panel of the Atoll IN300 there is one balanced and 5 regular RCA line inputs. One pair of RCA connectors (Aux) can be used to install an optional phono stage board. There is a BY-PASS input for direct access to the final stage (relevant when working in a recreation center system). There are two optical and coaxial inputs, as well as asynchronous USB. There is a built-in Bluetooth receiver and two Pre Out outputs. The speakers are equipped with two pairs of proprietary screw terminals made of special tellurium copper. A universal remote control is used to control Atoll IN 300.
