Together with the Pendulum integrated amplifier , Dan D’Agostino also introduced a new pre-amplifier, called Momentum C4 .
The Momentum C4 preamplifier is based on Dan D’Agostino’s revolutionary Complementary Four Circuit (C4) topology. This unique input stage design sets a new standard for performance and precision, delivering unparalleled audio clarity and fidelity.
The Momentum C4 topology , based on Momentum HD preamp technology , uses an array of four JFETs in a complementary differential push-pull design, which significantly increases input impedance and reduces noise.
The improved dynamics of the Momentum C4 preamplifier are the result of an advanced power supply, housed in a separate chassis for maximum isolation and feeding the audio chassis via a 20A blocking connector. It features separate dedicated toroidal transformers dedicated to analog and digital circuits respectively, and internal circuitry eliminates RF noise and irregularities in the power line.
The Momentum C4 preamplifier offers optional DSM , which provides legacy source connectivity, USB interface functionality, and premium streaming capabilities.
Momentum C4 has an elegant and sophisticated design. The included precision-machined aluminum bi-directional remote control provides intuitive control over device functions and settings.
