The Matrix Element X2 joins the brand’s line of network players, functioning as a complete standalone source device for your audio system and bringing your traditional HiFi system into the world of high-definition streaming.

The Element X2 features a 3.46-inch LCD touchscreen. When playing from the network or locally using the MA player, a large amount of track information is displayed on the screen. In addition, touch controls provide easy and intuitive navigation through the device’s various menus.

Many music streaming services are also available from the web player, such as Spotify, TIDAL or Qobuz, as well as a wide range of web radio stations thanks to vTuner.

With the free MA Remote mobile app, you can browse local music files, access your favorite streaming services and web radio stations, and control playback remotely, right from your smartphone. Firmware updates for the Element X2 can also be done via the app.

The X2 also has a built-in balanced headphone amplifier, consisting of eight independent amplifier blocks. Each pair is connected in parallel to provide high current, high power and very low noise and distortion.

The Element X2 adds an HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port. When connected to a display or projector that also supports ARC, digital audio can be sent to the Element X2. Additionally, if your device also supports HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), playback on the Element X2 can be controlled directly using your display’s remote control.

The Element X2 features an excellent preamp with +10dB analog gain. When the preamplifier is activated, it can transmit audio signals with an output voltage of up to 15.8 Vrms. Hyper-Control technology keeps noise and distortion levels extremely low.

The Element X2 has multiple digital inputs as well as a stereo analog RCA input. This allows you to connect the vast majority of HiFi devices to the streamer. In addition, a three-stage gain control allows the X2 to adapt to the source output level.
