NAD Unveils M10 V3 BluOS Streaming Amplifier

The NAD M10 V3 is the third generation of the original M10, released in 2019 and followed by the M10 V2 in 2021. The third-generation streaming amplifier features a turntable input for MM cartridges (which the V2 did not have) and optional Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control.

Features

Not only does the unit offer a wealth of connectivity options, including HDMI eARC for those looking to combine their music and movie experiences in one compact system, it also features Dirac Live Room Correction (subject to license purchase), which can assist with setting up speakers in rooms that may not be ideal for them. All that’s left to do is connect the speakers and let the music party begin.

NAD Unveils M10 V3 BluOS Streaming Amplifier

The NAD M10 V3 BluOS Streaming Amplifier claims to deliver improved performance thanks to next-generation audio technologies compared to its predecessor, the NAD M10 V2 (also read our NAD M10 V2 review or our NAD M10 review ). The V3 features a front-facing color touchscreen and brushed aluminum chassis. It also features the ESS SABRE ES9039 DAC, which the designers claim delivers incredible dynamic range and extremely low distortion.

Furthermore, the M10 V3 features a Hybrid Digital amplifier with nCore technology that can deliver 100 watts of continuous power per channel into eight or four ohms and short peaks of 160 watts into eight ohms, with virtually no noise or distortion.

The M10 V3 has analogue and digital inputs, including a new turntable input for MM cartridges. A USB Type A is provided for connection of a USB storage device. NAD has also fitted an HDMI eARC for connection of a television.

BluOS Platform

Of course, the V3 features sister brand Bluesound’s BluOS platform, the multi-room music platform that can be controlled from any smartphone, tablet or desktop. Users can use BluOS to stream music services, Internet radio stations, and personal music libraries stored on a network drive or computer. BluOS supports Hi-Res Audio up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Thanks to BluOS, the V3 can be connected to compatible wireless speakers and audio systems for a multi-room music experience.

BluOS also allows the M10 V3 to be used as a wireless Dolby Digital home theater system. Using the BluOS app, the M10 V3 can wirelessly connect to a second M10 V3, or other BluOS-enabled speakers, creating an immersive 4.1 home theater system from a sleek, compact device. Apple AirPlay 2 and aptX HD Bluetooth are also supported for unlimited streaming of any app or service.

Price

The NAD M10 V3 will be available this fall for just under $2,500. NAD’s new BC1 IR remote control is included.
