The Naim NAC 282 features a microprocessor that controls all aspects of the amplifier. Optical protection circuits continuously monitor power supply and ensure device safety in emergency situations. Precision rotary potentiometers with precious metal plates maintain musical integrity and ensure long-term stability.
The device comes with a customizable remote control. Two of the Naim NAC 282’s six inputs can be used either as regular DIN inputs (preferred for better immunity to interference) or as RCA inputs for use with a wide range of alternative components and cables. For using NAC 282 with AV receivers, etc. A separate configurable input with unity gain is provided.

Each of the six inputs has separate listening and recording functions. In addition to the normal muting function, the Naim NAC 282 mutes not only the output itself, but also all associated circuitry, thus eliminating the possibility of negative influence on the main output.
The included NAPSC power supply independently powers the digital and control sections, while the audio stages are powered by either a NAP 155 XS or NAP 200 power amplifier or a separate external power supply such as a HiCap or SuperCap. The NAC 282’s outstanding sound quality is combined with versatility and customizability, making it a preamp that can serve as the centerpiece of high-end audio systems for years to come.
