Rotel RCD-1572: Flagship CD player with a clean, straight design

The culmination of Rotel’s thirty years of excellence in CD playback technology is the RCD-1572, Rotel’s flagship CD player in the new 15 Series. The Rotel RCD-1572 has a clean, straight design with a cabinet mounted on custom feet, which help minimize vibrations.

All improvements made to the RCD-1572 were aimed at bringing out the finest musical nuances and unlocking the full potential of digital recording on popular media. The Rotel RCD-1572 player uses an improved drive mechanism that provides high reading accuracy. The Wolfson WM8740 chip (24 bit/192 kHz) is used as a digital-to-analog converter. Despite the fact that CD has much faster performance in terms of audio resolution, such a serious potential of the DAC makes it possible to increase the speed of signal processing and guarantees correct playback in any conditions.

It is worth noting the well-developed design of the analog path, which starts at the DAC output and ends with analog outputs, represented by both conventional RCA connectors and balanced XLR connectors. All circuit elements (resistors, capacitors, inductors), which were selected through careful listening, allow you to obtain a natural, high-quality sound.

The power supply is based on a powerful proprietary toroidal transformer that powers high-precision rectifiers, tight-tolerance voltage regulators, and Slit-Foil low-ESR buffer capacitors with perforated plates (for fast discharge) and ultra-low equivalent series resistance. The result is that the Rotel RCD-1572 delivers accurate performance and natural musical sound under any circumstances.

The model is equipped with a coaxial digital output, as well as a system bus connector to create a unified Rotel audio system. Moreover, when working in conjunction with branded components with indexes RA or RC (15 Series line), control becomes available using an application for tablets/smartphones based on iOS. On board there is an RS-232 interface, an input for an IR receiver and a trigger for remote activation.
