Encased in the elegant North Collection design, the MOON 891 seamlessly integrates a state-of-the-art network streamer, cutting-edge DAC, phono stage, and preamplifier, offering a truly modern and sophisticated audio experience.
The MOON 891 preamplifier incorporates cutting-edge advancements such as the MOON Damping Base (MDB), which effectively minimizes unwanted vibrations and eliminates microphonics. Additionally, this new offering boasts a discrete volume control M-RAY2 that utilizes a resistive matrix.
The MOON 891 network streamer unit is built upon the exclusive MiND2 streaming platform, enabling users to extract even the most intricate details from digital music files. Seamlessly integrating local music libraries and streaming services, the MiND Controller app provides support for AirPlay, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Roon Ready.
For digital-to-analog conversion, the MOON 891 utilizes the MDE3 digital engine, which employs separate 32-bit FPGA converters for each channel. This state-of-the-art product is capable of decoding all contemporary audio formats, including PCM, DSD, and MQA.
The front panel of the preamp showcases a 5-inch color screen that shows volume levels, active input, and provides access to a wide range of settings. Specifically, you can use the menu to customize the MOON 891’s integrated 891 phono preamplifier according to your cartridge. Additionally, when streaming online content, the screen can also display album art and post metadata.
Included with the preamp is the sleek MOON BRM-1 remote control featuring an OLED display, touch controls, and an elegant aluminum volume knob.
