TIDAL Audio has launched the TIDAL Ferios G 2, an advanced monophonic power amplifier that serves as the successor to the original model introduced in 2017. According to TIDAL Audio, they have refined the design of the first-generation Ferios power amplifier and created a new, high-capacity power supply.
The TIDAL Ferios G2 monoblock boasts ample power reserves and the capability to provide the necessary clean current to effectively drive even the most intricate acoustic systems. TIDAL Audio firmly believes that the Ferios G2 establishes a new benchmark for quality when compared to its predecessor, which has consistently garnered accolades from industry experts.
Features
- Mono power amplifier with linear power supply
- Power supply with two toroidal transformers with a capacity of 800 VA each, fully magnetically shielded and mechanically isolated
- 500,000 μF stabilizing capacitor bank, ultra-fast response thanks to high-quality, long-life capacitors
- Elimination of harmful vibrations and resonances due to the use of massive aluminum parts and struts inside the body, excellent torsional and longitudinal rigidity
- Multilayer printed circuit board of our own production with copper tracks of 105 microns thickness per layer
- Hand selected transistors, measured and matched to better than 1% accuracy
- Input gain stages with DC feedback, no coupling capacitors or relays in the signal path from input to output
- Ultra-low resistance capacitors directly on transistors for the shortest connection
- TIDAL’s patented APM (Amplifier Protection Management) system is completely outside the signal path. The TIDAL APM system is an isolated and completely autonomous system for controlling and monitoring the safety of power amplifiers in terms of the following parameters: output current versus output voltage, short-circuit current, DC offset, undervoltage and overvoltage.
- Optional: Fully independent LPX mono active crossover module for active amplification, allowing control of the bass section of TIDAL reference loudspeakers, perfectly phase and frequency matched, with the ability to adjust various frequencies and levels to perfectly tailor the bass response to each room and/or listener preference
- Intelligent soft start, remote power on/off with TIDAL preamps via RJ45 Ethernet cable
- Nominal output power when driving into a load with a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms: 1 x 400 W continuous RMS power
- Nominal output power when driving into a 4 Ohm nominal impedance load: 1 x 800 W continuous RMS power
- Bandwidth: 1 Hz – 400 kHz (-3 dB)
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 44 cm x 32.5 cm x 60 cm
- Weight: 63 kg
