Vincent Audio has recently introduced the SA-T7 Diamond tube preamplifier as a limited edition. This remarkable device incorporates the renowned German Telefunken PCF803 (NOS) tubes, which have been in existence for several decades. The circuit design of the SA-T7 Diamond preamplifier is based on the original model, excluding the Diamond suffix. However, the inclusion of four vintage Telefunken tubes has undeniably influenced the sound characteristics of this new product.
The Vincent Audio SA-T7 Diamond combines linear amplification with extremely low noise, thanks in part to Frank Blöhbaum’s BestPentode circuit designed to eliminate the noise often associated with vacuum pentodes. The BestPentode stage used in the SA-T7 Diamond boasts much higher gain and lower noise than comparable triode designs.
The Vincent Audio SA-T7 Diamond preamplifier supports connection to a wide range of analogue and digital audio sources. There are six analog stereo inputs on RCA connectors, optical and coaxial digital inputs and a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter for wirelessly streaming music from mobile gadgets.
The built-in DAC is implemented on a Burr Brown PCM 5102 chip and is capable of processing digital streams with a resolution of up to 24 bits/192 kHz. The preamplifier is equipped with a tone block, which can be turned off if desired.
Like the base model, the Vincent Audio SA-T7 Diamond is available in black or silver design.
