Roon Labs LLC has officially announced the successful completion of the certification process for the WiiM Ultra streaming device from Linkplay Technology Inc., designating it as Roon Ready. The device will require a firmware update, expected to be released within the next few days. At High End 2024, Linkplay Technology Inc. unveiled another streaming solution that generated significant interest: the WiiM Ultra. The manufacturer touted this device as the ultimate digital hub for music, promising an exceptional experience for digital music enthusiasts.

The ultimate digital hub

Measuring only 205 x 205 x 73 mm, the WiiM Ultra is designed to be more than just a basic streaming device; the manufacturer describes it as a comprehensive solution for all digital music needs, delivering exceptional quality at a remarkably competitive price. This device features a 3.5-inch color touchscreen display and comes with a variety of interfaces, allowing it to stream content from the network through UPnP, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect, although it does not support Apple AirPlay 2.

The WiiM Ultra has now officially been granted Roon Ready designation, as it has successfully completed the certification process with Roon Labs LLC.
