BenQ GV50 Projector – Cinema on Your Bedroom Ceiling

The BenQ GV50 projector is capable of casting a 120-inch Full HD image onto your bedroom ceiling, enabling you to enjoy films, television shows, and video games while relaxing in bed. It offers a vertical throw range of 135 degrees and a horizontal throw range of 360 degrees, complemented by digital image adjustment features, including a user-friendly zoom lever. This design facilitates a quick and straightforward setup for achieving the optimal angle and image quality, particularly when placed on a nightstand. Additionally, the BenQ GV50 is equipped with an 18-watt, 2.1-channel audio system that includes a “ceiling cinema mode,” which tailors the sound output based on the height of your bed. For those who are sensitive to light, the Night Shift mode helps minimize eye strain, and a sleep timer is available for users who may drift off during viewing. The projector utilizes a laser light source that delivers 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, ensuring sufficient illumination for a dimly lit bedroom.

BenQ GV50 Projector

The BenQ GV50 projector features CinematicColor technology, ensuring precise color accuracy, along with support for HDR and HLG formats. It operates on Google TV, providing access to a comprehensive range of streaming applications, including Netflix, allowing for immediate streaming capabilities upon setup. Although it may not be ideal for high-speed shooter or racing games due to its 60Hz refresh rate, the 22.4ms input lag is likely to satisfy most gamers.

BenQ GV50 Projector

The BenQ GV50 projector features a battery capable of delivering two and a half hours of video playback or nearly five hours of music streaming through Bluetooth, allowing it to function as a wireless speaker. Its connectivity options include a USB-C port (which supports DisplayPort, data transmission, and power delivery for charging devices like the Nintendo Switch), an HDMI 2.1 port, and a USB-A port. Currently, there is no information available regarding the suggested retail price or the release date for the BenQ GV50 projector.
