Onkyo HT-S3705: Home cinema system with true high-resolution surround sound

Onkyo HT-S3705
Onkyo HT-S3705

The name of the Onkyo corporation is formed from two Japanese words: On, meaning sound, and Kyo, meaning harmony. It is said that in the beginning, the founder of the company only hired people with a musical ear, because he wanted everyone who created new components to be as devoted to music and understand it in half-tones as he was.
Onkyo is launching a new entry-level receiver, the TX-SR333. The product supports ultra-high-definition video signals with frame rates up to 60 Hz.
The model offers true high-resolution surround sound with powerful high-current WRAT architecture for clear, detailed sound, six HDMI 2.0 inputs, built-in Bluetooth and InstaPrevue technology. In addition, you have HDMI pass-through, Hybrid Standby mode, and the ability to transmit high-resolution audio via USB. The sound quality of the TX-SR333 is unprecedented for this price range.

The TX-SR333 model from Onkyo is equipped with many proprietary technologies used in the company’s more expensive AV receivers, as well as all the necessary functionality. The TX-SR333 has five channels of sound amplification, made on discrete elements using WRAT (wideband amplification) technology, which allows the receiver, when connected to the appropriate acoustics, to fully demonstrate the potential of sound tracks in HD formats.
Onkyo TX-SR333 is equipped with six HDMI inputs of the 2.40 standard, compatible with 3D, has decoders of all modern HD formats of surround sound. For ease of use, on-screen graphics are displayed on the TV or projector screen when connected to HDMI. High-quality Burr-Brown DACs operate in the receiver’s audio path, and there is also a four-mode DSP. It is possible to flexibly configure multi-channel sound depending on the type of acoustics used for the correct distribution of low frequencies, as well as adjust the cutoff frequency of the filter at the output for connecting a subwoofer. To compensate for the desynchronization of sound and image on the screen, the A / V Sync function is provided. The AV receiver has an informative display with adjustable brightness.

To adjust the receiver’s sound character, you can use the volume controls in the low and high frequency range. You can connect an iPod or iPhone to the USB port on the front panel, as well as flash drives with music files in mp3/wma formats
Onkyo TX-SR333 has analog inputs for five linear signal sources, three digital (one optical and two coaxial) inputs, connectors for connecting speaker systems, equipped with color markings.  The Onkyo TX-SR333 AV receiver can become the basis of an inexpensive and high-quality home theater system, and will go well with modern acoustics of popular brands. The device has a signature recognizable Onkyo sound, and is perfect for both playing multi-channel soundtracks of modern films and listening to music recordings.

If you are looking for a competent but space-saving 5.1 system to work with your AV receiver, this is what you need! The same speaker configuration in all 5 main speakers ensures optimal timbre consistency of sound. The subwoofer is flawlessly integrated into the system and can easily work with any electronics, regardless of which output it is connected to the amplifier: line or speaker. Almost invisible in the room and at the same time incredibly effective in sound home theater.
Onkyo HT-S3705: Home cinema system with true high-resolution surround sound
To fully utilize the capabilities of the Onkyo multichannel AV receiver, you need to select a coordinated and compatible set of speakers for it, such as the SKS-HT528. This 5.1-channel system includes five full-range satellites with phase inverters designed for 120 watts of amplifier power, as well as a solid active 150-watt subwoofer with a floor-facing phase inverter.
All speakers in the set have a classic two-way configuration and are equipped with the same emitters: woofers with 75-mm paper diffusers and tweeters with 15-mm titanium diffusers. The central channel speaker, as expected, is equipped with a pair of LF emitters. The HF speakers are made using Tannoy’s proprietary Wide Band technology, due to which the operating frequency range of the speakers was expanded to 40 kHz. Both emitters have a neodymium magnetic system, so the speakers turned out to be quite effective, despite their small size.

Together, they create a well-balanced and fully immersive sound field that brings movies and music to life. Special color-coding of cables and connectors makes installation a breeze, and the ability to hang the speakers on walls expands the range of possible placement options. The system comes in a stylish high-gloss black finish that blends in beautifully with virtually any interior, as well as with other Onkyo components.
