Onkyo TX-NR5100: Fully equipped AV receiver

The Onkyo TX-NR5100 AV receiver has a seven-channel configuration, while all of its power amplifiers are made of discrete elements and are capable of developing significant output current. Proprietary circuit design ensures low impedance amplifiers, which ensures stable operation with acoustics with a resistance of 4 ohms. The AV receiver’s power supply uses a custom transformer with low levels of external noise.

The Onkyo TX-NR5100 is equipped with decoders for all popular surround sound formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Thanks to the seven built-in amplifiers based on this model, you can create systems in a 5.2.2 configuration, which in most cases is quite enough for full sound recording of a living room in an apartment or house. In addition, the Onkyo TX-NR5100 has Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X modes, which allow you to simulate the operation of ceiling speakers.

To automatically adjust surround sound, the Onkyo TX-NR5100 features AccuEQ technology with extensions for the subwoofer channel, as well as 3D formats. The AV receiver uses high-quality DACs with 32-bit / 384 kHz parameters. To disable all additional audio processing, you can use Direct mode.

The Onkyo TX-NR5100 features four HDMI inputs supporting 4K video, Dolby Vision and HDR10. When a signal with 1080p parameters is supplied to the HDMI input, it can be upscaled to 4K. The device also has a good set of digital and analog inputs for connecting various signal sources. This model also features Bluetooth with High Quality Audio support. The receiver also has an output for sounding an additional zone. Thanks to the informative display, thoughtful placement of controls on the front panel and remote control, as well as convenient on-screen graphics, the AV receiver is very easy to set up and use.

This model has the most modern functionality for network streaming (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi), based on a separate SoC processor. Onkyo TX-NR5100 can play music from available network devices or on-line resources. In addition, this model has built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant, support for DTS Play-Fi, Sonos and FireConnect multiroom technologies. Bluetooth and AirPlay2 are provided for direct connection of mobile gadgets. The Onkyo TX-NR5100 also has a USB connector for external drives with music files. The device supports High Resolution audio playback with parameters of 24 bit / 192 kHz and DTS 11.2 MHz.
