The Yamaha RX-A6A has advanced gaming and multimedia features that provide even smoother motion and transitions in games, movies and videos. These include: Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) automatically sets the ideal latency setting for smooth, stutter-free viewing and fast response to commands. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) reduces or eliminates lag, stuttering, and tearing for smoother, more detailed gameplay. Quick Media Switching (QMS) for movies and videos eliminates the delay that can result in empty frames before content is displayed. Quick Frame Transport (QFT) reduces signal transmission latency for smoother gaming and real-time interactive VR experiences.

The Yamaha RX-A6A also features Yamaha’s Cinema DSP HD3 3D surround sound technology, which is based on a combination of actual measured sound field data and the latest digital signal processing techniques. The updated CINEMA DSP HD3 technology includes new signal processing algorithms and brings sound quality closer to what you hear in movie theaters, creating a realistic sound field that truly immerses you in what’s happening on screen.

The Yamaha RX-A6A receiver uses Anti Resonance Technology (ART) in the form of a special fifth leg, which is located in the front center of the device.
