According to Zidoo, it took about two years to develop the UDH8000 media player. Visually, the device is quite symmetrical (the circuitry is also balanced) with a pair of hard drive slots on either side of the display and a control panel. So the storage can be expanded to 32 TB – 16 TB per disk.
It will be complemented by the capabilities of Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, KKbox, etc., not to mention DLNA. In terms of wireless signal transmission, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are supported. The USB DAC input will allow you to use the new product as a DAC. Analog outputs are RCA and XLR, unbalanced and balanced.
In addition to these, there is, for example, a digital HDMI Audio Only output with increased quality and support for multi-channel DSD 64 Native output. Zidoo was perhaps the first in the industry to use audio and video separation over two HDMI. That is, you can simultaneously watch 4K video and listen to HD audio accompaniment. The maximum signal parameters for video with HDMI 2.1 are 8K60p. For audio – DSD512 and PCM 32 bit/768 kHz.
The DAC uses two quartz oscillators. The computing power is provided by the five-core Amlogic S928X-K processor, supplemented by 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and 64 GB of eMMC memory. In addition, the UHD8000 uses digital separation technology to suppress interference. For almost the same purpose, the analog and digital parts of the circuit are powered by separate sources, each from its own toroidal network transformer.
The price of the universal player-streamer Zidoo UHD8000 will be $1,400.
