The Cabasse Murano is the most compact full-range 3-way speaker system in the high-end Cabasse Artis series. It features many of the innovations originally developed for La Sphère’s reference top-of-the-line speaker: the coaxial mid/high frequency driver, as well as special materials and technologies created for the bass driver. The composite honeycomb structure of its dome cone and powerful magnet system with long-throw voice coil enable the Murano’s 17cm woofer to produce incredibly clear and deep low frequencies. With a peak power rating of 1000 watts, music of any genre will sound great with a pair of Cabasse Murano speakers, at low or high volumes, in large or small rooms.
The BC13 coaxial mid/high frequency driver, which is the “heart” of the Murano, is borrowed from the flagship spherical speakers La Sphère and L’Océan. Assembled and meticulously tested in a French laboratory, it guarantees genuine and reliable tonal balance that is completely gentle on the ear, creating an incredibly realistic and deep soundstage. This coaxial driver features a new aluminum waveguide specifically designed for optimal performance when paired with the Murano bass driver.
The new 17ND bass driver was also developed specifically for this model. To achieve deep, yet focused and fast bass from a compact speaker, Cabasse engineers decided to miniaturize the very concept of the 55 cm bass driver installed in the La Sphère speakers. The concave honeycomb diffuser provides high rigidity and excellent damping that allows large deflections without deformation. Driven by a long voice coil in a 45mm deep air gap, with a 4kg magnet system, this driver gives the Murano’s bass clarity and power.
Thanks to Cabasse HDSE’s Homogeneous Sound Energy Distribution principle, direct and reflected radiation remains uniform and the sound stage remains wide and stable.
