Canton GLE 90: Classic floorstanding speakers from Germany

German company Canton GLE presents an updated series of GLE acoustics. It has existed in different versions for about 20 years. In this generation, the mid-range and low-frequency speakers in the GLE models received titanium diffusers. In terms of rigidity/weight ratio, titanium is superior to aluminum, and its increased viscosity enhances its anti-resonance qualities. An additional boost to sound quality is provided by the proprietary concept of a solid diffuser, which is a single surface without sharp bends or transitions.

According to Canton, this adds stability to the diffusers. The GLE acoustics received improved terminals that accept cables with a cross-section of up to 10 mm. In the latest iteration, the GLE series turned out to be diverse and versatile. It includes floor, shelf and wall speakers. They did not forget about the central channel systems and Dolby Atmos overhead sources.

Features

The new GLE series uses titanium as a diffuser material for the LF and MF speakers. The dual woofer diaphragms in the GLE 90 and GLE 80 provide more pressure and control. Visually, the continuous surface of the diaphragm adds an elegant accent.

High-quality gold-plated screw terminals with a socket for cables up to 10 mm² ensure maximum conductivity and guarantee reliable, stable contact. High-quality and acoustically neutral black fabric grilles cover the front panel when needed and are securely attached with magnets. The new oval grille shape allows the classic design of the GLE series to fit into modern room design.

The combination of a lacquered, silky-matte finish on the front panel of the case and high-quality decorative film in black and white gives the GLE series a modern and elegant look at the same time. Also, 4 models are available in the color Makassar. Thanks to the wide variety of the model range, the GLE series allows you to implement home theater projects of any complexity.
