The DALI EPIKORE 11 floor-standing loudspeakers were first shown at the High End Show in Munich in May, and now the new product has gone on sale in Europe. With the new model of acoustics EPIKORE 11, the Danish company DALI celebrates 40 years of research and development of acoustic systems. The DALI EPIKORE 11 is a 4½-way floor-standing speaker system with a luxurious cabinet finished in natural wood veneer.
The new product is equipped with four 8-inch bass drivers and a 6½-inch midrange driver, the design of which uses the proprietary second-generation SMC Gen-2 magnetic compound. The high-frequency spectrum is served by the EVO-K hybrid module, borrowed from the DALI KORE model.
Designed to significantly reduce hysteresis, SMC Gen-2 is the next generation of DALI’s patented SMC magnetic material. Gen-2 SMC, introduced in the flagship DALI KORE loudspeaker, is used in the EPIKORE 11 bass and midrange drivers, as well as the crossover inductor cores, offering significantly improved performance compared to the first generation SMC introduced in the EPICON series in 2012. The result is a further reduction in hysteresis, flux modulation and eddy currents in the magnetic system.
The EPIKORE 11 speaker drivers use cones made from DALI’s proprietary material, a blend of paper and wood fiber that reduces weight and increases rigidity.
The newly developed 6½” EPIKORE midrange driver features the complex embossed paper and wood fiber cone structure used in the DALI KORE. The titanium voice coil frame and DALI’s patented SMC Gen-2 magnet system further reduce mechanical loss and distortion.
The EVO-K hybrid tweeter, originally developed for the DALI KORE, combines a proprietary 35mm soft dome tweeter with an improved version of DALI’s ultra-thin ribbon tweeter.

First introduced in DALI KORE, EPIKORE 11 crossovers use inductors with SMC Gen-2 cores. Compared to standard air-core coils, DALI claims this technology offers lower DC resistance, shorter signal paths and less vulnerability to coil-to-coil crosstalk, especially at high inductance values. SMC KORE crossover coils are combined here with carefully selected high quality capacitors and resistors.
The DALI EPIKORE 11 speaker systems are available in three finishes: glossy black, glossy maroon and glossy walnut. The recommended retail price of the new product in Europe is 39,998 euros for a pair of speakers.
