The PHANTOM K-60 LP is an innovative solution for spaces where traditional built-in speakers cannot fit. With its super flat design and a depth of only 3.8 cm, this ceiling speaker can be installed almost anywhere. It serves as a smart option for background music and can also be used as side, rear, or height speakers in a discreet home cinema setup.

What sets the PHANTOM K-60 LP apart from other built-in speakers is its ability to deliver true hi-fi sound quality. Unlike its competitors, this speaker ensures a rich and immersive audio experience, rather than thin and enclosed sound. It is the perfect choice for spaces that require an ultra-flat built-in speaker.

The unique pattern on the front grill allows the speaker to seamlessly blend into its surroundings, appearing as pure white instead of gray. Additionally, the PHANTOM K-60 LP does not require a backbox, making installation even easier. As long as the ceiling surface is tight, this speaker performs flawlessly.

Furthermore, the sound quality and cut-out hole of the PHANTOM K-60 LP are compatible with DALI’s own K-60 and E-60 models. This provides you with various options to create an optimal solution, especially in a home cinema setting.

Advanced and original technical solutions

DALI presents the PHANTOM K-60 LP as the ultimate built-in loudspeaker in terms of sound quality. Developed by DALI’s own R&D team in Denmark, this speaker is packed with innovative and advanced technical solutions. One of its standout features is the unique design of the aluminum bass/midrange diaphragm, which is mounted with the magnet motor inside the cone instead of behind it. This unconventional approach allows for an ultra-flat design without compromising on sound quality.

The tweeter in the PHANTOM K-60 LP is a 1″ softdome that shares the same characteristics as DALI’s renowned hi-fi speakers. With an ultra-light diaphragm and a powerful neodymium magnet system, it delivers a detailed and airy reproduction of the highest tones.

To suit different preferences, the PHANTOM K-60 LP comes with a round K-series front grill in white finish, which can be spray painted in any color. Optional extras include a black front grill and a square front grill from the E series. For those who prefer a more traditional look, the speaker can also be supplied with a classic grill. Simply select the desired version from the menu.

Optimum sound quality under all conditions

Just like the traditional speakers from DALI, the PHANTOM K speakers feature an impedance curve that is friendly to amplifiers. This means that even with regular amplifiers and receivers, you can achieve excellent results. Additionally, with the “Wide Dispersion” feature, you can enjoy the full benefits of the sound, even if you are not positioned directly in the center of the speaker.

By using the EQ button on the front, you have the option to select between a neutral frequency response or a slightly subdued midrange. This adjustment will result in a slightly fuller bass and a more accentuated treble. This feature can come in handy if you have placed the speaker behind a monitor or if you are sitting at an angle to it. Furthermore, it may simply be a preference of yours. When it comes to built-in audio, all tricks are allowed, including tone controls.

Smart mounting solutions

In many modern buildings, the moisture barrier is strategically placed a few centimeters behind gypsum ceiling boards or similar materials. This allows for the installation of various fixtures such as cables, lamp sockets, and speakers without compromising the integrity of the moisture barrier. The PHANTOM K-60 LP is an excellent choice for such installations as it meets this requirement flawlessly.

One of the notable features of the PHANTOM K-60 LP is its “compass ring” located on the speaker’s edge. This ring enables you to easily determine the rotation of the speaker in relation to the surface it is mounted on, such as a line on the ceiling. This precision makes it convenient to position the speaker accurately according to your desired listening position.

Mounting the PHANTOM K-60 LP is a breeze thanks to its “dogleg” attachment. This attachment ensures both effortless and highly stable installation in ceilings up to 27 mm thick. Additionally, the front grill can be conveniently attached using magnets and can even be spray painted to blend seamlessly with a colored ceiling, minimizing its visibility. To simplify the process further, a mounting template is provided to help you locate and mark the optimal position for the cut-out holes before you begin installation. If you prefer a square front grill for aesthetic reasons, it is available as an optional extra.

While the PHANTOM K-60 LP is designed to be used without a backbox, it can accommodate porous ceilings or situations where a backbox is still necessary. In such cases, an internal volume of 5-7 liters is sufficient. For enhanced bass performance, it is recommended to have an internal volume of up to 20 liters if possible. This flexibility allows you to mount the speaker even in tight spaces where there is limited room at the back.
