The DALI Zensor 3 bookshelf speakers have been designed to deliver the most dynamic and rich sound possible from a compact footprint. As a result, these speakers deliver some of the deepest bass in their segment, yet are small enough to sit on a bookshelf.
The speakers are equipped with 7-inch low-frequency speakers with diffusers made of pressed paper pulp reinforced with wood fibers. Such diffusers have high rigidity, which is necessary for effective damping of internal resonances and at the same time are light enough for accurate transmission of the smallest dynamic nuances of musical works. The voice coil of the low-frequency speaker is made of four layers, which provides higher sensitivity compared to traditional two-layer coils, and is made of copper-plated aluminum wire.
The high-frequency emitter in the DALI Zensor 3 acoustic systems has a soft fabric dome with a diameter of 25 mm. The tweeter has an extended range of operating frequencies, due to which high linearity of the frequency response of the speakers at audible sound frequencies is achieved. The high-frequency speaker is mounted on a wide metal chassis, providing good heat dissipation from the voice coil and protecting it from mechanical vibrations. The bass driver also features a neat metal surround, making the DALI Zensor 3 look very good with the grilles removed.
To expand the range of reproduced low frequencies, the acoustic systems are equipped with a phase inverter, the output of which is located on the rear panel. The speaker bodies are made of thick fiberboard and are additionally reinforced with specially designed internal ties. One pair of high-quality screw terminals connected to a crossover filter made of selected components serves for connection to the amplifier. These speakers have a neutral, monitor sound with accurate transmission of the smallest nuances of the performance of musical compositions and can be used in high-end audio systems.
