The most striking feature of the JBL L100 Classic 75 is the beautiful teak wood veneer that adorns all sides of the speaker cabinet. The wood trim is complemented by a black Quadrex foam grille with gold and black JBL logo. The front and back of the speaker feature special edition badges, including a commemorative plaque signed by Chief Systems Engineer Chris Hagen, as well as an individual pair number from the 750 pairs produced. Acoustically, the JBL L100 Classic 75 features an improved woofer suspension design and a redesigned network that includes bi-wire Bi-Wire capability via a premium input cup with two sets of gold-plated mounting pins and gold-plated nuts. The L100 Classic 75 will be sold as a matched pair of two speakers with a set of JS-120 floor stands.

The JBL L100 Classic 75 features a JT025Ti2-4 1-inch (25mm) titanium dome tweeter coupled to an acoustic lens waveguide for optimal integration with the 5-inch (125mm) JM125PC-8 die-cast midrange driver with a pure cellulose located directly below it. The vertical location of the HF and MF transducers is slightly shifted to the right of the woofer, which is lower, and the HF and MF attenuators are located in the upper left corner of the front wall of the case. Low frequencies are produced by a 12-inch (300mm) JW300SW-8 woofer with a white pure cellulose cone in a molded frame, operating a bass reflex system that is tuned through a single front tube port with a flared output.
