The Danish company Miller & Kreisel has released a series of ergonomic Sound D acoustics in matte white, black and gray colors with matching grills. The series begins with the new D85 and D95 models, designed for home stereo audio. These models bridge the gap between the brand’s dedicated home theater speakers and the entry-level M Series.
The D Series has been optimized for placement on walls, on stands, inside bookshelves or side-mounted flat panel displays. “The D Series is capable of delivering high-performance, highly accurate and fatigue-free sound, combining all the hallmarks of the entire M&K Sound product range,” says Per Becher, CEO of M&K Sound, “Given our history of producing reference loudspeakers for music listening. and movies, it seemed natural to offer our customers the opportunity to hear the famous M&K sound from small speaker cabinets throughout the home. D Series loudspeakers are the perfect addition to a stylish home. and, in terms of performance, they far exceed their size and weight.”
Both the D85 and D95 feature M&K Sound’s signature 1.1″ silk-diaphragm dome tweeter with low compression, the same as the reference 150 Series loudspeakers. The woofers are 5.25″ and 6.5″ drivers respectively. , both use a polypropylene diffuser with an inverted dust cap.
Each D Series speaker features a built-in keyhole mount and a 100mm x 100mm VESA interface for mounting to a wall or related equipment. Low profile wall mount and recessed mountings on the rear panel provide a minimum clearance of 2mm from the wall. The D95 boasts a sensitivity of 91 dB, excellent for a small body. Thanks to the depth of less than 10 cm, placing new products will not be a problem.
