The Philips S7807 is a two-way system with 20mm tweeters and 70mm mid/bass drivers, complemented by a passive radiator and 4W amplifier. The battery capacity of 5,000 mAh will allow the speaker to work 24 hours on a single charge – enough to send it on a hike or to the park. The novelty can be used as an external battery to recharge a smartphone or other mobile gadget.
Philips S4807 & S7807 – portable Bluetooth speakers
The Philips sports headphones and the new Bluetooth speakers share the same design philosophy. They’re tough, water resistant, comfortable and easy to carry, and deliver great sound at home and on the go.
The speakers have a robust double rubber casing, which depending on the version is offered in either black/red or white/yellow with gray accents and an integrated, detachable carrying strap.
The S7807 inspires with its full sound compared to the compact dimensions. With only 104 x 104 x 280 mm, the loudspeaker is extremely easy to carry, but with its two 20 mm tweeters and two 70 mm mid-bass drivers and a passive radiator it sounds very clear and surprises with its deep bass.
The output is an impressive 40 watts with a more than party-worthy 24 hours of playtime. With its 5,000 mAh battery, the S7807 can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices.
The S4807 is even smaller at just 70 x 70 x 169 mm, which also plays music with very good sound with its 45 mm x 80 mm full-range driver and two passive radiators and 10 watts of power. With 10 watts of power, the S4807 offers 12 hours of playtime.
Both the S7807 and the S4807 offer multipoint Bluetooth 5.2 and allow hands-free communication via push-to-talk with voice assistant.
To enjoy true stereo sound, both speakers can be paired with a second device to get the party started.
Sales start in March. Philips S7807 will cost buyers 199.99 euros .
