Silent Pound, a speaker manufacturer from Lithuania, has a limited product range consisting of only one model – the Challenger 2. As the flagship and entry-level model of the company, the Challenger 2 succeeds the original Challenger with its distinctive design elements.

According to Silent Pound , other, smaller models are in development, but at the moment the Challenger 2 is the manufacturer’s flagship. The Challenger 2 is a floorstanding speaker with relatively compact dimensions and very interesting construction details. According to the manufacturer, the Challenger 2 is aimed at music lovers with the highest demands on “lifelike” and dynamic reproduction with realistic timbres and spatial reproduction. According to the manufacturer, the Challenger 2 is suitable for rooms of 18 to 80 square meters.
A total of five drivers are on board. The two powerful woofers, each with a diameter of thirty centimetres, operate without a sound box, i.e. with an open back, and therefore deliver an extremely deep, fast and direct bass reproduction that works seamlessly with two mid-range drivers (diameter 160 millimetres) and a tweeter in between. The unique mid-range cabinet of the Challenger 2, for which a patent has been applied, ensures an optimum acoustic balance between mid-range and low frequencies and, according to the designers, offers a significantly more detailed sound image compared to conventional systems.
The housing is made of high-quality bent sheet steel and is available in two standard colours and numerous optional colours and for an additional charge with a solid oak front. There are no visible screws. An optional cover front is being worked on. The woofers are covered from behind with an aesthetically attractive magnetically attachable cover front.
The design comes from an experienced industrial designer. The crossover incorporated in the base, which is equipped with the best components, can be admired under a tinted glass plate. Bass and treble can be adjusted to the listening room or the listener’s personal preference using toggle switches. The sturdy, height-adjustable feet can be adjusted to the floor using M8 threads. Spikes or castors can also be mounted.
Silent Pound gives a frequency range of 30 Hz to 18 kHz and a sensitivity of 88 dB. The nominal impedance is four ohms (minimum 3.2 ohms). The dimensions are 124 x 36 x 35 centimeters and the Challenger 2 weighs 60 kilograms each.
The suggested retail price of the Silent Pound Challenger 2 is €28,000 for the black and white version.
