Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono: High-quality Plug-n-play turntable

The Pro-Ject T series welcomes a new addition, the T2 Super Phono, a turntable crafted for beginners who possess a discerning taste in music. Pro-Ject’s rationale behind this model’s creation lies in its enhanced size, the premium finish available in matte white, glossy black, or walnut, and the inclusion of a striking 10mm thick glass platter that tips the scales at 1.7 kg. This turntable is designed for immediate enjoyment right out of the box, thanks to its comprehensive setup and factory configurations.

Priced competitively within its category, the T2 Super Phono features an integrated two-stage split-passive MM phono preamplifier, offering flexibility for users who might opt for an external preamp or wish to upgrade the included Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge. This cartridge, part of the esteemed Sumiko Oyster series, comes with an elliptical-cut diamond needle but can be exchanged for an MC-type model as desired.

The tonearm, which spans an effective length of 9 inches, securely holds the cartridge in place, while a newly engineered sub-disc beneath ensures the smooth rotation of the glass platter. The assembly operates on a traditional main bearing, consisting of a hardened steel axle within a brass sleeve, and is propelled by a synchronous motor equipped with electronic speed control. This allows for effortless switching between 33 and 45 rpm speeds at the mere press of a button.

Constructed with a CNC-milled chassis, the turntable stands on specially designed anti-vibration feet, minimizing unwanted resonance. It also comes with a proprietary ultra-shielded, low-capacitance semi-symmetrical phono cable, a dust cover, and a felt mat, ensuring that users have everything they need for a superior listening experience.

In the European market, the Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono turntable is recommended to retail at €600.
