VPI Industries presents a truly budget-friendly turntable, the VPI Cliffwood. The VPI Cliffwood turntable is named after the city of Cliffwood (New Jersey), where VPI turntables of all categories have been manufactured for forty years – both mid-range and high-end models, as well as budget models.
The VPI Cliffwood turntable features an aluminum platter driven by an AC motor that rotates at 600 rpm. The turntable plinth is made of MDF. The 9-inch aluminum tonearm houses a VPI/Grado Green cartridge, developed in collaboration with Brooklyn Grado Labs. Possible upgrades and modifications: The tonearm platform allows the tonearm to be replaced with the more advanced JMW 9.
The manufacturer emphasizes that, despite the low cost of the product, the entire production and assembly cycle of the new budget VPI Cliffwood player is concentrated in the USA without outsourcing. Users can choose from 3 finishes of the player: Chocolate Truffle, Black and White.
