Wilson Audio Sasha V Officially Presented

Wilson Audio has officially introduced a new generation of Sasha speaker systems, which received the Sasha V index , in which engineering solutions and technologies are implemented, as in larger and more expensive models of the company. The speaker has replaced the popular Sasha DAW model in the company’s range.

The Sasha V speakers are relatively compact by Wilson Audio standards at 120cm tall and weighing 111.13kg each. Traditionally, the novelty is made in a two-section modular design with low-frequency speakers in the lower module and mid-frequency and high-frequency radiators in the upper case.

The handcrafted Wilson Audio Sasha V uses proprietary – Material , – Material , and – Material , as well as less arcane but high-quality carbon, aerospace-grade aluminum and stainless steel components.

Wilson Audio Sasha V speakers feature the Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC) tweeter, first used in the Wilson Alexx V model. and accurate reproduction of high frequency harmonics.

The mid-range is handled by a 7″ Wilson AlNiCo QuadraMag driver , designed to create a wide soundstage at mid frequencies, to which the human ear is most sensitive. Previously available in the Wilson Chronosonic XVX, Alexx V and Alexia V models, this driver has also become an integral part of the Sasha V speakers.

According to the manufacturer, the internal brace of the Sasha V cabinet is milled from X-material, as are the side walls of the cabinet, as well as the top treble/midrange module. Wilson Audio reports that the latest version of the X-material is 25% thicker than the one used in the Sasha DAW model. It is said that this made it possible to increase the strength of the case and, as a result, increase its inertia and reduce resonances.

To isolate the tweeter/midrange module from the bass driver cabinet, the Sasha V uses V-material, first used on the Alexx V and Alexia V models. .

The front wall of the upper module, on which the QuadraMag tweeter and midrange driver are mounted, is made of Wilson Audio’s proprietary S-material. The use of this material, according to the company, forms a very stable and low-resonance contact surface for the midrange driver, which has a beneficial effect on sound quality.

The Sasha V crossovers use specially selected in-house components, including capacitors manufactured by Wilson Audio’s Capacitor Manufacturing Department (Reliable Capacitors). Wilson Audio believes that the use of circuit boards for crossovers degrades the sound, so the Sasha V uses point-to-point point-to-point wiring.

The operating range of the Sasha V speakers from Wilson Audio extends from 20 Hz to 32 kHz (+/- 3 dB). It has a sensitivity of 88dB @ 1W @ 1m @ 1kHz and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms with a minimum of 2.36 ohms at 82Hz. That is, the selection of muscular reinforcement for Sasha V will have to be given special attention.

Wilson Audio Sasha V speakers are already available for order. In the UK, the novelty in the base trim is offered for 53,998 pounds for a pair of speakers.
