SVS 3000 Micro REvolution: High-End Compact Subwoofer with 4000W Peak and App Contro

SVS 3000 Micro REvolution delivers 1200W RMS, dual opposing drivers, and deep 20Hz bass in a compact design with advanced DSP and app control.

SVS 3000 Micro REvolution delivers 1200W RMS, dual opposing drivers, and deep 20Hz bass in a compact design with advanced DSP and app control.

The SVS 3000 Micro REvolution is a relatively compact active subwoofer that, despite its size, starts at just 20 Hz. Two drivers are positioned opposite each other to cancel out unwanted vibrations. Delivery is expected to start in the course of May 2026.

SVS 3000 Micro Revolution

The SVS 3000 Micro REvolution is the newest member of the REvolution series from the American company SVS. The dimensions of this active subwoofer are 278 x 299 x 274 millimeters (H x W x D), and it features two opposing drivers powered by a MOSFET amplifier with a continuous output of 1,200 Watts. The specified peak power is even more than 4,000 Watts, and the sound is tightly controlled by a 295 MHz DSP, which the designers describe as the most advanced ever in a home subwoofer.

The enclosure is constructed from extra-thick MDF side panels and sturdy internal reinforcements to support the active dual speaker unit and ensure an acoustically neutral environment. The manufacturer specifies a frequency range of 20 Hz to 230 Hz (±3dB) and, according to them, offers music lovers and home cinema enthusiasts impressive power, unparalleled DSP strength, and leading musical accuracy.

The opposing drivers are arranged in a force-cancelling design that reduces unwanted cabinet vibrations. According to the manufacturer, vibrations are a major limitation in traditional compact subwoofer designs. Furthermore, force-balanced drivers eliminate the need for a passive radiator, which is often used in micro-subwoofers. SVS deliberately foregoes the use of a passive radiator due to the resulting bloated, monotonous bass response, according to the designer.

Discrete MOS-FET amplifier and Analog Devices DSP

As mentioned, the two drivers are powered by a proprietary REvolution amplifier with a continuous output of 1,200 watts and a peak output of over 4,000 watts. This amplifier promises to combine the efficiency of Class D with the ability to deliver enormous currents thanks to fully discrete MOSFETs. According to SVS, the result is excellent subwoofer performance in practice, at all power levels.

Meanwhile, a digitally monitored SVS Switch Mode Power Supply optimizes performance by guaranteeing a constant supply voltage of 160 Volts for the amplifier, while 56-bit processing and high-quality DA converters with a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB are designed to deliver the necessary headroom with very low distortion.

The Analog Devices DSP manages the entire amplifier and driver ecosystem. According to SVS, the underlying computing power is the most powerful and advanced ever applied to a home subwoofer. This technology boasts six times the processing power of previous SVS generations.

In addition to regulating performance, user operation, and adjustment, the DSP monitors every function of the amplifier, stabilizes the AC voltage supplied to the power supply, and ensures a constant peak output.

Calibration and operation are managed via the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone app. This allows the user to adjust the volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room compensation, and up to six parametric EQ bands. Three built-in memory presets are available for quick system adjustments. Auto Room EQ will be released as a software update in the second quarter. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs complete the package.

The SVS 3000 Micro REvolution is expected to be available from May 2026 in high-gloss black or white piano lacquer.
