Denon launched a new turntable today called the DP-500BT. According to the designers, the DP-500BT combines a sophisticated design, analog sound, and high-resolution wireless Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to semi-automatic operation and the switchable built-in phono amplifier, this turntable is suitable for both beginners and experienced vinyl enthusiasts, according to the manufacturer.
The Denon DP-500BT features a belt-driven platter made of cast aluminum and a pre-mounted balanced S-shaped tonearm. Denon supplies the DP-500BT ready to play, so a compatible cartridge is included in the package. The manufacturer has opted for an MM cartridge with a CN-6518 stylus. Furthermore, the Denon DP-500BT has a built-in phono amplifier that can be bypassed if the user wishes to use an external phono amplifier.

The turntable is designed for ease of use, meaning the semi-automatic operation combines automatic lifting of the tonearm at the end of the record with stopping the platter. This prevents unnecessary spinning and wear.

Bluetooth connectivity is what sets the DP-500BT apart within Denon's portfolio. Denon has built in support for aptX, aptX HD, and apt Adaptive to stream wirelessly in high resolution to speakers or headphones. This turntable also works with the company's HEOS amplifiers and Home speakers, allowing you to enjoy multiroom audio while listening to your record collection.
The dimensions of the DP-500BT are 425 x 367 x 118 millimeters (W x D x H) and it weighs six kilograms.
